 PATIENT ADMIN MANAGER – KIAAT PRIVATE HOSPITAL JOB TITLE: PATIENT ADMINISTRATION MANAGER REPORTING TO: FINANCE MANAGER SERVICE GROUP/UNIT: ADMIN DEPARTMENT KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: `Carry out clinical coding in accordance with CPT and ICD requirements

•Ensure that pre-admission and authorisation information is accurate and in accordance with hospital and funder procedures. `Maintain and manage accurate accounts for all hospital admissions. `Audit patient files in accordance with hospital policies. `Timeous electronic submission of accounts and manage follow up on short payments arising from case management related issues. `Ensure timeous monthly reporting.
•Manage the entire case management and reception/admissions department. `Continuous liaison with internal and external stakeholders including Doctors. `Keep abreast of legislation updates pertaining to funders and related clinical updates. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS/CRITERIA: `SANC registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse ideally with ICU experience. `5 Years` experience of Medical Aid administration processes and case management (ICD 10, CPT 4 Procedure Codes and Per Diems. `At least 3 years management experience. `Knowledge of hospital billing systems and medical aid tariff structures will be an added advantage. `Experience in a private hospital environment.
